Description:

Birding Trip with local naturalist Tyler Davis. Tyler will lead a half-day birding trip for a group of up to 6 people, visiting several great birding locations on San Juan Island. (The winner must supply their own transport). The outing can be tailored to suit the skill level of the group, from total beginners to experienced birders. It will include some light hiking, (up to 5km) and tips on how to use birding apps if desired. A date for the outing will be arranged with Tyler.

Meet Tyler: Tyler Davis is a Pacific Northwest native and lifelong naturalist, though he became particularly fond of birds 25 years ago when some colorful parrots (which he later discovered were Rainbow Lorikeets) caught his attention while in Australia during a year-long globetrot. Since then, he has studied, chased, and watched birds for research, work, and fun all over the world. These days, most of his birding is done on San Juan Island as he tries (he hopes not too desperately) to instill the passion in his two young children.
